Susan Greenhalgh is the John King and Wilma Cannon Fairbank Professor of Chinese Society Emerita at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Society and Anthropology Department at Harvard University. She is best known for her work on China’s one-child policy, including Just One Child: Science and Policy in Deng’s China; Governing China’s Population: From Leninist to Neoliberal Biopolitics (co-authored); and Cultivating Global Citizens; Population in the Rise of China. Her most recent book is on corporate corruption of health science and policy in the US and China: Soda Science: Making the World Safe for Coca-Cola.
