进一步推广中文在美国的教学、促进中美中文教学界交流,大纽约地区中文教师学会(CLTA-GNY)、华美协进社 (China Institute in America) 、华东师范大学(ECNU) 和耶鲁大学东亚研究协会(CEAS)于2025年10月4日联合举办第23届纽约国际汉语教学研讨会, 总结汉语教学经验,传播先进理念,交流现代教学手段,提高海外汉语教学的总体水平。会议将在位于纽约曼哈顿下城的华美协进社举办。
本次会议的主题是“Adapting Chinese Language Teaching to a Changing American Landscape: New Standards, Multilingual Contexts, and Technological Innovations”,内容涵括汉语教学法与实践,面对海外新需要的文化对策,以及教材与课型设计,教学的比较和体会。
欢迎中美专家参会发言,介绍自己的研究成果和教学心得。研讨会的议题包括:教学法、课程设计、电脑中文教学、偏误分析、汉字教学、师资培训、新媒体技术在中文教学中的运用。
报名发言
发言可以用中文和英文进行。会务委员会将根据议题分组,每组有4位发言人,时长为75分钟。请注意,每篇发言都需要提交独立的摘要。

The 23rd New York International Conference on Teaching Chinese, sponsored by the Chinese Language Teachers Association of Greater New York (CLTA-GNY), China Institute in America, East China Normal University and the Council on East Asian Studies at Yale University under the theme of “Adapting Chinese Language Teaching to a Changing American Landscape: New Standards, Multilingual Contexts, and Technological Innovations” will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at China Institute in America in the heart of New York City, located at 100 Washington Street, New York, NY 10006.
We invite you to submit a proposal for our conference! We welcome proposals across a wide spectrum of subjects related to the teaching of Chinese, spanning the following key areas:
RESEARCH: This area includes linguistics, culture, pedagogy, program implementation, assessments, etc.
PRACTICES: This area includes student motivation, administration, program promotion, teaching materials, classroom instructional strategies, ACTFL 5 Cs standards application, teacher training, community engagement, etc.
INNOVATIONS: This area includes technology and media use, online and distance learning, application of recent research on brain and learning theories, etc.
Call for Proposal
The Conference Committee welcomes your proposal submissions that align with the themes mentioned above. Papers may be presented in either Chinese or English. We are open to proposals for individual papers and panels. All proposals will undergo anonymous review, and individual papers will be thoughtfully grouped into panels according to shared themes. Each panel will have a duration of 75 minutes and feature four presenters. Please be aware that separate abstracts are required for each paper included in the panel proposal.
Please submit your proposals online by June 30, 2025. Notice of acceptance will be sent out in early August electronically.

The Chinese Language Teachers Association of Greater New York (CLTA-GNY): a nonpolitical, nonprofit academic and educational organization for Chinese language teachers at all education levels. The mission of the CLTA-GNY is to promote quality Chinese Language teaching at all education levels in the greater New York area and to conduct professional development for Chinese teachers in both language teaching and cultural awareness. It serves as a resource network for Chinese language teachers to partake teaching and research information in various capacities, as well as provide a base for common pedagogical improvement and individual career development. Members of the CLTA-GNY benefit greatly from a broad agenda offered by the Association, including conferences, seminars, workshops, field trips, and in-service training and/or re-training for the teachers in demand. East China Normal University: Founded in Shanghai in October 1951, East China Normal University is one of the most prestigious universities in China and has always placed great emphasis on international cooperation and exchange, fostering strong partnerships with over 300 universities and research institutions worldwide. In addition, the education base in support of Chinese language teaching in the UAE has been set up with various programs launched to carry out international Chinese education in cooperation with overseas organizations. The university receives a number of international Chinese Teacher Scholarship students, and has undertaken China Studies Program over a long period of time. The International Chinese Teacher Training Base at ECNU is one of the most important bases in the world for cultivating international Chinese teachers.
