Chair and CEO, Nuri Holdings

Michelle Liem is the Chair and CEO of Nuri Holdings, an investment holding company in Singapore. The Nuri Group consists of diversified businesses in manufacturing, real estate, retail, natural resources, technology and financial services in Asia, US, Europe and Australia.

Michelle is director of companies in the Nuri Group including Giti Tire, a leading tire company with manufacturing plants in the US, China and Indonesia, Tuan Sing Holdings, a property developer listed on the Singapore Exchange and Ardent Investment Partners which invests in various sectors such as technology and healthcare. The Nuri Group owns United Pacific Bank in California, Three on the Bund, a historic landmark development in Shanghai and are developing Kura Kura Bali, an eco-island with special economic zone status in Bali, Indonesia.

Michelle was conferred the Public Service Medal by the President of Singapore in 2016. She is on the board of SingHealth Fund, which champions various causes across SingHealth, Singapore’s largest public healthcare group and she is Patron of Bukit Timah Citizens’ Consultative Committee, Holland-Bukit Timah GRC Singapore.

She serves as the Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Singapore and was conferred the Officer of the Order of Merit by HRH Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg in 2022.

Michelle is a Council member of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a member of its Global Leaders Group in Asia, Trustee of the Singapore LSE Trust, member of Stanford Parent and Family Advisory Board and Advisory Council member of Conservation International for Asia-Pacific.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has two children both educated at Stanford University, Arthur graduated with BSc in Mathematics and Economics, MS in Computer Science and Denise is a senior majoring in Computer Science.
