For every third Sunday of each month, China Institute in America’s Hoppy Rabbit Playdate program offers a freeplay session where families can bring their children to our spacious indoor playground space to play, socialize, and have fun with various toys and activities. This is a great time to meet children and families local in the neighborhood who are interested in exploring Chinese language and culture.
All families are welcome! We require all children stay with their caregivers at all times, with the supervision and support from our Mandarin speaking educators and dedicated staff. Toys, crayons, picture books, and other educational supplies will be provided onsite.
At this event, we invite special guests “New York City Chinese Dance Company” (NYCCDC), a vibrant and passionate dance troupe dedicated to showcasing the beauty of Chinese culture through the art of dance. Teaching artists will be available to demonstrate the distinctive style of traditional Chinese dance and perform a short piece to introduce children and families to the magic of Chinese dance (both classical dance and folk dance) to children and families!
