Exploration and Resonance: Chinese Music in the West
Concert with the Bard East/West Ensemble

China Institute in America and the US-China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music presents an exciting performance by the Bard East/West Ensemble, with the instrumentation of a Western string quintet, seven traditional Chinese instruments, and percussion. The program features a selection of Chinese musical compositions specially arranged to showcase the expressive range and musical prowess of this unique musical group. Distinguished guest speakers will offer remarks on the development of Chinese music in the West.
