Join China Institute and NYU Project Developing Chinese Language Teachers (DCLT) for an in-person celebration of 16 years of development of the field of teaching Chinese language and culture. You’ll hear from experts in the field about the state of the field – where we’ve been, where we stand post-pandemic, and where we will go next. You’ll hear from teachers from across the world about their experiences in the classroom, their paths to leadership, and how they have revitalized themselves and their careers in the past few challenging years.
The day will start with Chinese lunch and conversation time as we see friends and colleagues after such a long time of virtual meetings. Keynote speeches, panel presentations, and greetings from friends and teachers around the world will follow. The day will end with a toast to how far we have come, and to the road to come.
