About the Band

Image
Hang Him to the Scales 秤上人

As the name Hang Him to the Scales, derived from traditional Chinese shadow puppetry, suggests, the band's music effortlessly imbues the hazy charm of Eastern aesthetics into the bright and somber walls of vocals and guitars. Since 2021, they have established themselves as an indie Asian band in New York City. Their work fuses elements of dream pop and shoegaze while continuously exploring the possibilities of alternative rock, developing a unique musical language of their own.
